The London–Asia trainee associate programme
If you’re fluent in English and native in an Asian language, you could apply for our London-Asia trainee associate programme, and build your career and network on both sides of the globe.
The programme will see you spend your first year in London and your second year in Hong Kong. After the two-year trainee associate programme you’ll qualify with one of our offices in Asia as an England-and-Wales-qualified solicitor.
Who we’re looking for
If you’re fluent in English and native in an Asian language, and studying in your penultimate year or beyond, this could be for you.
You’ll also need to be curious, commercially minded and keen to help some of the world’s biggest companies on their most challenging legal issues.
What happens next
If you’re selected, you’ll be invited for interviews and a writing exercise.
If you progress from that, we’ll invite you to join us for a vacation scheme in Summer – three weeks in Hong Kong, plus one in London. We are hopeful that the 2023 vacation scheme can take place in both offices, but if that’s not possible, we will look to hold this virtually.
Based on your performance during the internship, plus an interview and a language test, we could offer you a place on the London-Asia trainee associate programme where you spend time in the corporate, dispute resolution and finance practice groups.
