Irem is an associate at our Brussels office and a member of the data and technology practice group.
Irem's practice covers all aspects of data and technology laws such as the GDPR, ePrivacy laws, telecommunications laws and new and forthcoming laws such as the Digital Markets Act and the AI Act. She assists clients with compliance with and implementation of these laws, developing data-related strategies and internal processes, response to cybersecurity and personal data breaches, data protection risk and impact assessments, drafting data processing agreements, international data transfers, data protection due diligences and data-related litigation. Irem has experience in a wide range of industries, including TMT, automotive, telecommunications, cloud computing, digital platforms, transport, financial institutions and digital health.
Prior to joining the firm, she completed a traineeship at the European Data Protection Board and worked as an associate at another international law firm.
Irem speaks Dutch, English, French and Turkish.
